Its My Big Day!

It was a lovely afternoon on the 15th of December at Oracle Arena in Oakland. It was game seven in the NBA finals series and it was the most important game of my life. Mickey Bebb in the bright blue jersey just before tip-off. Before the warm up we got to talk to Mickey about his journey to the NBA. “It was an amazing journey. When I was just a small kid our little village got bombed. So all we had for a house was a tiny little shelter. As I got older I got really into basketball and ever since then basketball has been my passion and my dream was always to play for the Golden State Warriors. So here I am on one of the world’s biggest stages!” Mickey is a 20 year old basketball phenomenon. He has luscious short black hair and bright blue eyes. His hobbies are… basketball, gaming, youtube and watching the beastly All Blacks.

It is tip-off and Surprisingly enough it is his birthday today! Looks like for Mickey’s special day he is starting. The tip-off goes to warriors and Mickey finds his six foot 11 center Luke Atienza for the easy bucket. With his first assist of the game the Warriors were up 2-0. At the middle of the first quarter Mickey got taken out of the game when the score was 14-25 to the Boston Celtics. The Warriors were getting smashed! Mickey stayed off the rest of the quarter. When he came back on at the start of the second quarter the warriors were somehow losing 24-40! Then he went on. The first play in the second quarter I pulled up for a three and I swished it! Then I went on a hot streak and score 16 points in the second quarter! And my awesome teammates racked up 16 points as well in the second quarter! At halftime the score was tied at 56 all. In the locker rooms the coach was telling us all the set moves and what we need to improve and keep up.

At the start of the second half I got off to a horrible start! I went 6/18 in the third quarter! I had a terrible third quarter and our coach took me out for most of the fourth quarter. But when he subbed me in there was 10 seconds on the clock and we had the ball. With ten seconds left on the clock it was now or never! We were down by two we either go for the tie or the win. I will always go for the win so I pulled up for a three with two seconds left on the clock in the defender's face! As I watched the ball fly into the air my heart was beating as fast as a hungry cheetah who hasn’t eaten in two weeks! I SWISHED IT! WE WON THE NBA FINALS!!!!!!! After the win I was named finals MVP.

Freddie's Amazing Party!

On the morning of the 18th of July I woke up with excitement in my body when I got out of bed. I knew that it was Freddie’s party because the air was as fresh as can be and my breakfast was as yummy can be. The present that I got him was a $25.00 gift voucher from Rebel Sport.

When I was ready I told my mum that we could leave now but of course she to delay the drive because she takes like five minutes to get to the car. When mum finally made it to the car we had to delay another three minutes because mum didn’t know where the party was at so she had to search it up on google maps. When google maps finally picked up the house where the party was held at we zoomed to Kelvin Grove in a matter of minutes.

When we got to Freddie’s wonderful house I waited a few seconds for Hudson to catch up to me will I walked up the driveway slowly but surely. When Hudson caught up with me we both rung the doorbell and we were greeted with a fake pile of poop  right by the door. After getting pranked by Freddie we were nicely greeted (Properly greeted!) by Freddie’s wonderful mum who was all nice. Then all the other invited friends started turning up.

Once everyone started turning up we started the first challenge which was to shoot the bugs on cups down with a nerf sniper rifle. I sucked for some reason because I barely hit any of the cups and after my turn was over I got really criticised for sucking so much but I just said “I tried my best so i’m happy for myself.”

After that challenge we went out onto the driveway to play Who let the dogs out? When I first heard it I was thinking to myself what the hell are we supposed to do here? Are we supposed to run away from some dogs or what? But when Freddie’s mum explained what it was I felt like a pro in his prime. The game was the team with the most dog biscuits in their bucket wins and the twist was that we had to lay on the ground and pick the biscuits in our mouths while running to the end of the driveway to dump off our biscuits into the bucket. We actually ended up winning but if Lachie didn’t cheat by using his hand to pick the biscuit up then we would of tied with Lachie and Hudson.

Overall we had a great time over at Freddie’s while I wished I could of shared more with you but I didn’t want to write to much so I had a wonderful time and I would really like to go again if I could. Would you? Please leave your answer in the comments.

My wonderful cycling adventure!

On the 16th of May a wonderful gentleman from sport manawatu came down to C.S.N.S to teach us about cycling. His name was Phil and he was a very nice and helpful guy. Firstly we went into the auditorium where he showed and told us all about the road and safety rules. After the wonderful presentation we went out to the new astroturf to get our bikes checked and to make sure that they were safe to use.

Two following days after the saftey check it was our first real session with Phil. It was about learning to ride on the left side of the road and about checking behind you to to check if it was clear to go onto the road. It was really fun because it was challenging, fun and safe all at the same time which was fun. Also going round and round in circles wasn’t actually boring it was fun and safe.

Then four following days later we got to learn about intersections. I was the most fun time of my life riding on the fake road and turning into intersections and roundabouts. While it was fun watching people getting pulled out because they did the wrong thing it was also challenging not trying to get out aswal.

Then finally came the road ride!😱 It was the final test will Colab be able to pass? Or FAIL? It was actually fun but we had to stop every three minutes which was frustrating! Although we had to stop each three minutes it was very challenging. I loved getting told how to cycle because before Phil started coming I wasn’t the best at cycling but now I feel very confident when I cycle on the road so I would like to thank Phil.

What is going on in Washington D.C!

I was just walking along the street to go to work when I saw a weird looking fight going on between a suitcase that is jumping into the air and a man in a very smart looking suit. The shiny silver suitcase was attacking  the guy in the black tuxedo. When I walked past them the suitcase started to look at me instead of the agent. (I had figured that he was some kind of agent by now by the dark sunglasses that sat on his face)

I am wondering what the hell is going on! Then the suitcase started to chase me and I ran as fast as the speed of light to get away but then I pulled out my lipstick from my purse. The agent thought that I was dumb and that lipstick wouldn’t do anything to the suitcase but when I pressed a button on the side of the lipstick it turned into a taser and then I tased the suitcase.  Then it couldn’t chase me anymore and I ran as fast as I could away from the crime scene.

Apparently the suitcase was a type of computer that set off a rocket that was heading to Russia. The agent then blasted up into the sky to try and destroy the rocket. In the end, the rocket ended up exploding into bits seconds after the rocket got set off by the agent. Then the agent looked at the suitcase,  put on his dark shades as he walked around the corner and  disappeared. Also the town hasn't had any problems after the agent went back to L.A and the end of the rocket landed on the pesky  pigeon while he was eating the crunchy bagel!  

My Amazing Camp

"Come on dad! Hurry up, we are going to miss the mud run!" Dad and I were rushing back to camp Green Pastures from Palmerston North. I just had an incident at camp were I banged my mouth on the metal framing on the tramp. Luckily Mr Robertson said that they would wait a little bit for us but we arrived just when the parents and kids got in the mud run. We were not far behind but when all my friends saw me appear at the mud run they couldn't believe their eyes. They were shocked that I came back. Just call me the comeback king! Dad and I came in as fast as the speed of light into the mud run.

When we got in I was greeted by a great big muddy monster but after all is was just a parent. We were right on the tail of the kids at the back. When Miss Gordon, Mr Robertson and Duncan all cheered for me when I got into their part. Lots of my friend were stuck in one part which was near the end. All my friends yelped "don't come through here you will get stuck." Of course I didn't listen to them because I'm a straight up savage so I just strolled through like it was no problem and I didn't get stuck! On the second time through I got completely covered in mushy mud. The mud felt slimy on my skin and the mud smelt like cow poo which I believe it was!

That was the best time of my life.

I Wish This Comes True!

”Rise and shine birthday boy!” cheered my wonderful parents and lifted the duvet off of me. “We got a big day ahead of us big boy” smiled my mum. The day started with some delicious waffles. The waffles tasted fantastic and the world's #1 chief in the world made them.(My dad) After the waffles my parents gave me a special gift. As I opened the present my heart was beating as fast as a cheetah sprinting!

When I opened the special gift I saw a Golden State warriors jersey. Next was the party, All of my friends accepted my invitation so today got off to a good day. My party was at Daytona and mum whispered to me that my cousins were coming. I was thinking in my head, cousins why do my cousins have to come I hate them! But out of nowhere three of the warriors came and surprised me! Lachie, Luke and Rhys got blown away as well. I'm pretty sure I got a major heart attack. The warriors players challenged me to a race and I knew I could take them down.

At the end of the race I couldn't see anyone behind me and I thought that I won but when I looked in front of me I could see everyone. And of course first place was the legendary Shaun Johnson. After we got out of the go karts the warriors gave me and the rest of my party tickets to the next warriors game in Charlotte!😱 We were all so excited every one nearly bursts in tears.

The night came the semi-finals was going to kick of in 45 minutes. The Golden State Warriors vs Charlotte Hornets. We went to get some hot chips and a bottle of coke. The tipoff was three minutes into the game when we arrived at our seats. The warriors has won the toss and elected to kick first. At halftime the score was 20-13 to the cowboys. So we need a big comeback to win this. It was 5 minutes away from full time and it was all tied up at 103-103! It was a knock on by the cowboys and we won the scrum. Off the Inbound Stephen Curry did a flashy pass to Kevin Durant. He shot the three ball with 2 seconds left in the game. He made It, He won the game for us! "YES WARRIORS, YES!!!"

Some Things About Me!!!

Hi, my name is Mickey. I attend College Street Normal School from Monday to Friday. I am a year 6.(The last year of primary) I live in Palmerston North. Palmerston North is a nice and peaceful city that is in the north island, New Zealand. I like to play rugby and play on my Xbox one s. I play for a club called Marist. Im Playing under 11s this year which is 100 meter field and 15 aside. Here are some fun facts about me... I go for runs and bikes early in the morning with my dad a couple of days of the week. I can do lots of cool flips on the trampoline like a back flip, front flip and a barani.( a front flip with a 180 turn while your doing the flip) My favorite subjects in school is p.e and maths. I will be making lots of posts during the year but most of them will be about my writing. I hope you know a little bit more about me after the tagul. See you later!
